Each year Avatar Imports goes to market to restock their fair trade inventory of clothing, handbags, accessories, etc. As the concept of fair trade and its benefits to our society and environment begin to reach so many, often the demand is greater than the supply. We are urging you to check out the current summer line that has been made availble to us and pick out a few items for your wardrobe. This Scarf is one example of what is sometimes termed "sweatshop free clothing." Many products bought and consumed in the United States are produced in uncomfortable, even dangerous conditions. The workers are often paid much less than a living wage, in order that the bosses (and large U.s. corporations who are their collaborators) can make an exorbitant profit.
Fair trade clothing is not a marketing ploy. It is simply action based upon the belief that the purpose of life is more than gross profit. The workers who produced this Scarf set their own prices and working conditions, in order that they may live well AND provide you a high quality product.
